The Québec Film and Television Council is delighted with the agreement in principle between AQTIS and IATSE.

The Québec Film and Television Council (QFTC) is delighted with the agreement in principle reached between the Alliance québécoise des techniciens de l’image et du son (AQTIS) and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), in accordance with the Association des producteurs de films et de télévision du Québec (APFTQ). This agreement, once it is ratified by the members of both unions, will end the conflict that has lasted nearly a year.

1st Annual General Assembly

The Quebec Film and Television Council held its 1st Annual General Assembly since its establishment as the new provincial entity devoted to promoting Québec to the international film and television industry. The QFTC presented to its members a progress report of last year’s activities as well as its business plan for the upcoming year.

The Québec Film and Television Council launches its first membership campaign "Aujourd’hui, je rentre au Bureau!"

Under the slogan "Aujourd’hui, je rentre au Bureau !", the Québec Film and Television Council (QFTC) is launching its first membership campaign, targeted at Québec's film and television industry, which runs from today until October 31, 2006.

The Chairman of the Board of the Quebec Film and Television Council (QFTC), Mr. Roy Heenan, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Hans Fraikin as Film Commissioner and Ms. Danielle Dansereau as Executive Director of the Council.

"An old dream that many thought was far-fetched" The Québec Film and Television Council is officially established.

At a special founding assembly, Quebec’s film and television industry formally created the Quebec Film and Television Council (QFTC). Some 120 members of the industry in attendance adopted the Office’s statutes and regulations and elected its first 11 member board of administration.
