The QFTC Undertakes a Complete Structural Review of its Production Services Department and Chanelle Routhier is Appointed National Commissioner

Montreal, September 7, 2016 - Sylvain Lafrance, President of the Board of Directors, and Pierre Moreau, Managing Director of the Quebec Film and Television Council are pleased to present the new QFTC Production Services team.
Chanelle Routhier, National Commissioner

“We are very enthusiastic and proud to welcome Chanelle Routhier to this key position,” noted Pierre Moreau. “Chanelle will focus on representation and business development at the national and international levels to ensure that Quebec attracts advantageous financial opportunities that will make use of our assets and highlight our expertise, and more generally our vast pool of talent, both locally and abroad,” added Mr. Moreau.
With a Post-Graduate degree in Organizational Communication from Université de Montréal, Chanelle Routhier has over 17 years of experience in management, sales, marketing, and film and television distribution in Canada and abroad. Until recently, she held the position of Manager, Sales & Market Development at the NFB, where her duties included worldwide distribution in all markets for the territories of the US, Europe and Japan.

Ms. Routhier will be supported by a talented and dedicated team to fulfill the objectives of the Production Services Department: Ariane Dagenais-Plante, recently appointed coordinator for the service, has a very good understanding of the various needs related to filming activities. She will be the intermediary between clients, service providers, Quebec film agencies and Jennifer Price, the QFTC representative in Los Angeles. Ariane is also responsible for managing and updating the QFTC photo library, which currently has over 90,000 photos.

An Eventful Start for the QFTC Production Services Department

In addition to an important trade mission to Los Angeles the week of September 19, the Production Services team is also completing work on a FAM TOUR to be held in Montreal, Quebec City and in the Laurentians area for major US producers. As part of the familiarization tour between September 13 and 15, several of the QFTC’s Prestige Partners and other member companies will have the opportunity to meet the producers invited to Quebec.
