Pierre Moreau Named General Manager of the Québec Film and Television Council

Montreal, October 17, 2014 - Sylvain Lafrance, Chairman of the Board of the Québec Film and Television Council (QFTC), is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Pierre Moreau as General Manager of the organization. Until now, Mr. Moreau has occupied the position of Senior Vice President - Europe and Asia at Technicolor. Based in Paris, he was responsible for offices in London, Rome, Paris and Bangkok for Technicolor’s Creative Services division.

Beginning as a Sales Director for Québec in 1999, he was then promoted to several  management positions within Technicolor, acquiring valuable experience in various areas of the audiovisual industry.

“The Board is confident that the extensive range of experience that Mr. Moreau brings with him will enable the QFTC to play a pivotal role in meeting the many challenges the industry faces as it enters a period of major change,” noted QFTC Chairman Sylvain Lafrance.

“Québec’s audiovisual industry bridges North American and European cultures, making it ideally situated to play a leading role. To do this, we must inspire ourselves with best the practices and encourage collaborations and alliances that showcase all the advantages we have to offer. It is with great pride that I take on this new role as the head of The Québec Film and Television Council,” added new General Manager Pierre Moreau.
Mr. Moreau will take office in December 2014, and will succeed Mr. Hans Fraikin who has served as General Manager since 2006.
