The Quebec Film and Television Council welcomes the forming of a gender-equal and diversified Cabinet

November 6,  2015 – Pierre Moreau, Managing Director and National Commissioner of the QFTC, expressed his satisfaction at the composition of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s new Cabinet.
“What we have here is a Cabinet made up of young, enthusiastic ministers that convey the image of a modern, open and committed society. The result is refreshing, necessary and promising!  The QFTC is looking forward to meet the new government very shortly in order to discuss various issues that are considered a priority by its members. In an age where content distribution models are rapidly evolving, the audio-visual industry, which we represent, is constantly exploring new development alternatives that are both well structured and profitable. We manage our various files in such a way as to keep pace with the evolution of the market, and it is essential for us to maintain such a pace in order to be able to encourage and promote the high-quality products that our members generate” enthused Moreau.
The QFTC reaffirms its determination to carry through the various initiatives that will allow our creators and entrepreneurs to leave their mark in markets the world over.
The Quebec Film and Television Council (QFTC) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to contribute to the development of Québec's competitiveness as a world-class film and television production centre.
As an economic development agency, its mission is also to generate new investments in Quebec by relying on competitive tax incentive programs, the know-how of the industry's stakeholders, the diversity of our architecture, the quality of our infrastructures and our ability to export film and TV products abroad.
