The QFTC Appoints a Trade Representative in Los Angeles

Montreal, July 7, 2016 - Sylvain Lafrance, President of the Board of Directors of the Quebec Film and Television Council, and Pierre Moreau, Managing Director and National Commissioner, are pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Price as Trade Representative in Los Angeles.

With a degree from Concordia University, Jennifer has extensive public relations and business development experience in both the private and public sectors. Her experience includes such diverse roles as directing the Public Relations program for the Canadian Pavilion at Expo 2010 in Shanghai, China and a diplomatic posting to the Consulate General of Canada in Los Angeles. While posted to Los Angeles, she created and managed an international trade program for the entertainment industries. Currently, Jennifer operates a boutique consulting business in Los Angeles, specializing in providing business relations services to Agencies, Associations and partnerships in the entertainment sector.

“Jennifer’s appointment will not only ensure the continued presence of the QFTC alongside Hollywood producers, it will also reinforce the organizations position as a promoter of Quebec's interests with key stakeholders in the audiovisual industry in the US. Permanently based in Los Angeles, the world capital of film, Jennifer will play a leading role in business development and customer relations. The members of the QFTC team and I are very enthusiastic about welcoming Jennifer, and look forward to a concerted collaboration,” said Mr. Moreau. Jennifer Price will take advantage of her visit to Montreal to initiate a business relationship with several members of the QFTC and its partners. She will also be present at the Council’s Annual General Meeting on Thursday, July 7.
