The QFTC is an extremely valuable resource for members in the areas of marketing, information, networking, awareness-raising, consultation and participation.

Marketing

QFTC members enjoy the spin-off benefits of marketing efforts aimed at:

1. promoting Québec’s advantages and the outstanding qualities of our film and television industry;

2. encouraging foreign producers to hire teams from Québec and shoot films on Québec’s various sites. Members also benefit from maximum visibility in the QFTC’s marketing tools, particularly its Web site, which provides links to members’ Web sites.

Information

Members receive exclusive, helpful information (data, reference material, news, etc.) in the quarterly E-newsletter.

Networking

Members have an opportunity to share and discuss information about the industry and carry out projects of common interest.

Awareness-raising

Members are able to voice their opinion and more effectively lobby the government in order to promote their positions and demands regarding issues that concern them.

Consultation

Members are consulted on topics and issues of great importance to the industry.

Participation

Members may participate in or host certain foreign missions. They may participate in the QFTC’s annual general meetings and other special meetings in order to voice their opinion on important issues. Regular members may vote on issues, elect administrators or get elected as administrators.

• Regular members

  Legal persons directly associated with the industry whose enrollment applications are accepted by the administrators.

  Note:

  A group of legal persons that is associated with each other by law is considered one legal person.

• Affiliated members

  Individuals, companies, associations and organizations that are not eligible to become regular members but demonstrate, in the administrators’ opinion, an interest in promoting the QFTC’s objectives and contributing to the development of the world-wide offer in the industry.

  Note:

  Affiliated members may not vote at member meetings or become QFTC administrators.
